President Biden yesterday signed an executive order imposing new sanctions with regard to entities and persons in Russia, as a response to certain foreign activities of the government of the Russian Federation.
As explained in a related White House release, six Russian technology companies that provide support to the Russian intelligence services’ cyber program, ranging from providing expertise to developing tools and infrastructure to facilitating malicious cyber activities, are designated for sanctions for their operations in the technology sector of the Russian Federation economy.
