Car companies in the Netherlands advertise used cars where prices are stated exclusive VAT. A manifest has been started against this, stating that prices must be stated including VAT. Moreover, VAT legislation prohibits the mention of prices exclusive of VAT to private individuals. Although there is a prohibition on listing prices excluding VAT to private individuals, no car companies have yet been fined.
