The Bangladesh National Board of Revenue has reportedly provided a further extension of the exemption from import taxes on medical products and protective equipment until 30 June 2021, which was provided in response to COVID-19. The exemption was previously provided to 31 December 2020, including for imports of raw materials for such products and equipment by certified manufacturers. For this purpose, import taxes include customs duty, regulatory duty, supplementary duty, VAT, and advance tax on imports.
