The Netherlands has asked the European Commission to amend the regulations on the right to deduct VAT on goods and services that are used for more than 90% for private purposes. The proposed adjustment means that the VAT on purchases that are hardly (less than 10%) used for business purposes is not deductible at all. This will mainly affect the VAT deduction of solar panels, homes and cars.
