With effect from 1 January 2020, the Danish Tax Agency can collect Danish sales VAT on VAT-free EU sales, if the company does not report the sale correctly to “EU sales without VAT”. EY recommends that companies review their handling of EU sales in order to ensure that the reporting requirement is complied with.
