A decision was taken on the basis of the European Commission Decision of 28 October 2020 amending Decision (EU) 2020/491 on relief from import duties and exemption from VAT on imports of goods needed to deal with the consequences of the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020. to extend the temporary exemption from customs duties and VAT on imports of medical devices and protective equipment from third countries.
