In light of the above considerations, for corrective contact lenses,whether they are colored or not, as they are intended to compensate for visual impairmentspermanent, the same rate of 4 per cent must be applied.Otherwise, the sales of colored contact lenses for purely aesthetic use,as well as disposals of contact lens cleaning solutions will besubject to the ordinary VAT rate of 22 percent.
