At the end of July 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, acts were adopted postponing the application of the new VAT rules to e-commerce from 1 January 2021 to 1 July 2021.
This also means that until 1 July 2021, the exemption from VAT on imports of goods of negligible value, not exceeding EUR 22, still applies. In view of the above, customs clearance of postal items worth up to EUR 22 will be carried out in the same manner until 1 July 2021.
