The FtT has recently heard the latest episode in the key VAT avoidance case of Paul Newey (T/A Ocean Finance). This case started in the FtT back in 2010 and has visited the European Court and Court of Appeal on its journey. Other cases have been heard during the intervening ten years, so the FtT made comments on those cases (Pendragon and University of Huddersfield).
