In a resolution stipulated to mitigate the repercussions of Covid-19 and support the healthcare sector in the economy in the UAE, the cabinet decided that zero-rated value-added tax (VAT) would be imposed on medical equipments like disposable suits, hand sanitizers, face mask, respirators for air purification and gloves.
