A 42-year-old suspect from Coevorden, a scrap dealer, is said to have bought used machines and sold them on to the company of the 44-year-old man from Coevorden. But according to the FIOD, the trade only took place on paper and the used machines were never actually bought and sold. Presumably, almost 1 million euros in false invoices have been drawn up and more than 195,500 euros have been wrongly reclaimed in VAT.
The suspect has previously been convicted of fraud with false invoices, according to the FIOD.
