The Supreme Audit Office checked how local government units dealt with the centralization of VAT settlements in force since 2017. The basic conclusion from the audit results published on Thursday is that municipalities have complied with the obligation imposed by the legislator, while committing many mistakes. “This was mainly due to complicated and ambiguous legal provisions and inconsistent jurisprudence in tax matters” – comments the Chamber.
