The National Revenue Administration (KAS) supported the initiative of the European Commission (EC) to extend the period of validity of the decision enabling the application of the exemption from customs duties and VAT.
This is due to the continued need for the protective and medical equipment needed to combat the COVID-19 epidemic.
The EC changed its earlier decision and extended the duration of the exemption until October 31, 2020.
