The UK government announced in its Budget 2020 that it would conduct a fundamental review of the business rates system in England. It has now published a ‘Call for Evidence’, in which it seeks views from businesses and business representative organisations, local authorities, rating agents, others involved in the operation of the system and anyone interested in the business rates or wider tax system.
