A pilot that started in 2017 in which entrepreneurs with an online accounting package could file their VAT return and arrange payment directly via iDEAL was successful. As a follow-up to this, a pilot is currently underway for the automatic profit return, whereby an income tax return is drawn up from the accounting package. The pilots are part of a multi-year development for entrepreneurs, with the aim of preventing errors and providing better support in reporting and paying.
