- Saudi Arabia: Customs authorities introduced a self-correction program (a voluntary compliance initiative) to allow importers to declare and pay customs duties for any pending customs liability.
- Qatar: The value added tax (VAT) regime is expected in 2020.
- Bahrain: The tax authority released guidance concerning the VAT regime. In general, those remitting VAT in Bahrain of an amount equal to or less than BHD 3 million (approximately U.S. $7.9 million) in annual taxable supplies are to file on a quarterly basis (but can request to file on a monthly basis). Those with more than BHD 3 million in annual taxable supplies must file on a monthly basis.
