The Dutch government has stopped one of its eminent tech companies from exporting chip-making machines to China following pressure from the US. (NL Times) Writing in the NRC, Luuk van Middelaar thinks the case is a warning for the Netherlands and urges Mark Rutte to push for common EU export licenses as the best way to protect Dutch commercial interests.
