Dutch Customs announces major changes in the way they will examine customs declarations discharging the temporary storage procedure. Prior to accepting the customs declaration it will be first checked whether the goods were presented to customs. The declaration shall also closely be compared to the Temporary Storage Declaration (TSD) and will be refused if there are any mismatches in the B/L (box 40), number of packages or gross mass. The changes will be implemented in phases, given the great impact on businesses. It is expected that the first phase will start on March 30, 2020.
