The Finance Commission Chairman stressed the need for a dialogue between the commission and Goods and Services Tax (GST) council to address various concerns on the taxation regime.
“Along with exemptions and the systemic relentless drive to fix rates, which are not revenue neutral, far from being revenue friendly is an area of worry for Karnataka, indeed the commission believes this is an area of worry for India as a whole.”
