Slovenia introduces VAT compliance changes | Meridian.
A number of measures have been introduced in Slovenia which plans to make the local VAT law more compliant with the EU VAT Directive. The changes are as follows:
- There will be changes to the VAT Directive for the 2015 digital place of supply rules on electronic, broadcast and telecommunications.
- There will be updates of the 8th Directive VAT reclaims process.
- The domestic reverse charge on carbon trading will be introduced as a step towards preventing VAT fraud.
- There will now be an obligation for non-resident passenger transporters to register for VAT when driving passengers across Slovenia.
