EC publishes paper outlining plan for a simpler VAT regime | Meridian.
The European commission has published a paper which outlines a more effective and more fraud proof VAT system tailor-made to the Single Market in the EU. This will replace the current system which has been in use over the last 2 decades and is out of date. The new system plans to meet the needs of businesses and they will be less exposed to VAT fraud because of this.
