Extended article

The Slovak Financial Administration, in cooperation with the Association of Cities and Municipalities (ZMOS), has launched a dedicated information campaign to help local governments prepare for their upcoming e-invoicing obligations. The initiative recognises that municipalities and public bodies need targeted support to adapt their processes ahead of the mandate.

As part of the campaign, a practical manual containing procedures and frequently asked questions (FAQs) has been made available on the Financial Administration portal. The manual is aimed specifically at cities and municipalities and is intended to guide them through the practical steps of receiving and issuing electronic invoices.

In addition, a series of professional e-invoicing conferences will be held across Slovakia in September 2026. Dates, venues and registration information are published in the portal’s “Conferences: Electronic Invoicing” section. The announcement is available here: financnasprava.sk – e-invoicing campaign, and the manual for cities and municipalities here: financnasprava.sk – manual for municipalities (PDF).
