On 15 July 2026, the Directorate General of Taxes and Domains (DGID) presented the Certified Electronic Invoicing System (Système de Facturation Électronique Certifiée, SFEC) to the Union of Economic Operators of Congo (UNOC) at an event held in Brazzaville. The presentation forms part of the Republic of Congo’s efforts to modernise its tax administration.
The SFEC reform is intended to secure invoices and combat tax fraud by ensuring that invoices are issued through a certified, tamper-resistant system. By strengthening the reliability of invoice data, the authorities aim to improve VAT collection and the overall integrity of the tax base.
