- E-commerce duty changes from July 1, 2026: Online purchases from outside the EU will no longer be exempt from customs duty for shipments up to EUR 150.
- New flat duty of EUR 3 per item: A flat duty of EUR 3 will be applied to each item in a customs declaration for these goods, with the online platform or their representative responsible for paying it, not the consumer.
- No refunds on returns and EU-wide application: Collected duties (customs and VAT) will not be refunded for returned goods, and this EUR 3 flat duty is an EU-wide regulation.
