Article

Slovakia’s Ministry of Finance and Financial Directorate have built a national 5-corner Peppol model in production well before the 2027 mandate. The Financial Administration acts as the Peppol Authority, overseeing certified Service Providers (Digital Postmen) who handle secure exchange and tax data reporting. Major accounting software vendors (Pohoda, Odoo, SuperFaktura, Asseco, MRP, Sunsoft, Kros, Seyfor, SAP) are scheduled to deliver production-ready Peppol BIS XML invoicing throughout summer–autumn 2026, allowing voluntary go-live before mandatory enforcement on 1 January 2027. The 26 May 2026 national e-invoicing conference and subsequent Brussels presentation confirm Slovakia’s position as a digitalisation leader in the EU.
