- The Dutch State Secretary of Finance has submitted a report to the House of Representatives regarding the implementation of the EU’s VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) initiative, focusing on mandatory e-invoicing and digital reporting requirements (DRR) set to take effect from July 1, 2030.
- While ViDA mandates digital reporting and EN 16931 compliant e-invoicing for intra-community B2B transactions, it offers Member States the option to introduce mandatory domestic B2B e-invoicing.
- An external research agency has recommended a broad e-invoicing and e-reporting mandate for the Netherlands, encompassing both domestic and intra-community transactions, with draft legislation anticipated for consultation in Q4 2026.
