The Belgian Minister of Finance has unveiled a series of measures aimed at reforming taxation in Belgium. These reforms will materialize in particular through the establishment of an obligation for B2B electronic invoicing, as well as an obligation to electronically declare VAT reports.
E-Reporting in Belgium
The reform presented proposes the introduction of an electronic declaration system for VAT files. It is envisaged that this electronic VAT declaration will be carried out almost in real time (Continuous Transactions Control).
For the deployment of this system, Belgium intends to follow the EU guidelines, as published in the framework of the ViDA (VAT in Digital Age) project, thus promoting the interoperability of data exchange systems. tax information between EU countries.
