HMRC updated the VAT Notice 700/1 on VAT registrations. Businesses that apply through online application will receive their certificate within 3 working days. Businesses who send their application on a paper form are expected to receive within 30 working days their full registration details for counter checking before receiving their VAT Registration numbers or updates if there are delays.
