The BZSt points out that many companies are currently being contacted by operators of an electronic platform because the company data they provided is incorrect. The problem can arise when a person runs a sole proprietorship and is registered with the responsible tax office at the residential address. Although the tax offices also store other addresses, for technical reasons they only transmit one address to the BZSt. The BZSt uses this data in the confirmation process. The BZSt cannot change this.
