Portugal issues order No. 260/2021-XXII of 27 July 2021, regarding the extensions of VAT return dates for 2021.
The order was issued on the 27th of July 2021 and it involves:
- The extension of monthly VAT return submissions for the months of September, October, November and December, up to the 20th of each month respectively.
- Regarding quarterly VAT returns for November 2021 they can also be submitted by the 20th of November.
- Any payments due for the VAT returns mentioned above can be paid up to the 25th of the respective month.
The same order issues an extension of the relaxed e-invoicing requirements up to the 31st of December 2021 is also provided. These requirements include the acceptance of pdf invoices as electronic invoices under tax legislation up to the end of this year.
