May was a busy month with more than 20 VAT updates being announced across Europe, including VAT e-commence packages in the European Union, Finland, Germany, Italy, Malta, and Spain; the introduction of electronic filing for VAT refund requests in France for non-EU businesses; and continued COVID-19 related updates regarding extensions and exceptions, to name a few.
