E-commerce: Avoid VAT obligations abroad and register now for the One Stop Shop (OSS)

From 1 July 2021, companies that sell goods through web shops will be confronted much more quickly with foreign VAT, and the associated obligations, when these goods are sold to private individuals in other EU Member States. After all, the current thresholds for distance selling will disappear from this date and will be replaced by a global threshold of € 10,000. To avoid companies having to register for VAT purposes in all these Member States, this foreign VAT can be paid via the centralized One Stop Shop declaration from 1 July 2021. The Belgian VAT administration has opened the portal on which your company can register for this One Stop Shop regime, with effect from April 1, 2021.
