The Supreme Court decided on June 19 that municipalities do not act as government when operating municipal cemeteries. As a result of this ruling, the provision of public education by educational institutions is no longer seen as a government activity and now falls within the scope of VAT. The policy decision on the education exemption will be adjusted to this, is repoted by the tax authorities.
