The National Bureau for Revenue (NBR) in Bahrain has this week confirmed in guidance that an employer and their employees are considered related persons for VAT purposes. As such, all VAT registered businesses who supply goods and/or services to their employees for a consideration below market value will now need to consider the impact of the latest guidance from the NBR.
